This represents the last article I will compose ahead of two possible developments: our boat arrives in Gaza, or Israel seizes our ship. We hope to get there on the ninth of October, after sailing the waters from late September.

Earlier this month featured the seizure conducted by Israel the crew members on the primary aid vessels just before their scheduled arrival. This is likely the same moment when Israel may attempt to capture our boats belonging to our humanitarian mission.

Sailing Amid Risky Situations

Our follow-up mission has continued sailing despite all reports concerning the fate of the earlier activists. When we were off Cyprus, getting ready for overnight duty under the shadow of an unknown aerial vehicle, we were informed that Israel had illegally commandeered the central humanitarian ships in international waters.

Next day brought sobering reality as I performed routine tasks: cleaning reusable containers in the compact galley, checking my phone periodically as Israeli forces methodically took the rest of the humanitarian convoy.

This situation has simply enhanced our united commitment to persist in our journey.

Living Conditions Aboard

During this voyage phase, I've developed a pattern. My sleep schedule involves sleeping from 11pm to 2am, followed by overnight duty through early morning, obtaining further sleep later completing five cumulative hours. More sleep proves impossible amid rough seas and constant interruptions in close-quarter existence.

My sleeping arrangement consists of a narrow cushion positioned above the couch in the communal zone. Every sunrise I attire myself within my resting sack as another makes breakfast mere meters away. Certain aspects of coexisting with six other individuals on a 40-foot vessel demand considerable adjustment.

The Operation's Goal

The healthcare materials and infant nutrition products stored in the stern cabin and cockpit area of our craft could save numerous lives if we reach our destination. Through a recent conversation, an interviewer proposed they considered our journey representative since interception seemed inevitable.

Viewed from afar, this understanding could appear reasonable. But, subsequent to traveling extended periods with humanitarian aid throughout your environment, familiar with its specific storage, continuing optimism remains crucial to access requiring populations.

Beyond Humanitarian Aid

However, delivering aid is not the journey's primary goal. Israeli authorities frequently inquire regarding our refusal to let them distribute our supplies. Beyond reasonable distrust about whether distribution would occur during sustained barriers, agreeing to these terms would implicitly acknowledge authority concerning maritime zones.

Troubling Reports

New details emerged regarding the first mission members: movement to Negev facility, designation as unlawful entrants despite forcible removal beyond territorial limits. Accounts described withholding of essential provisions involving liquids, pharmaceuticals and nutrition, along with disrespectful behavior and occasional violence by detention officers.

Current numbers showed numerous mission members were removed with 138 remaining detained.

Broader Context

These situations seem terrible but they diminish beside to the systematic abuses faced by Palestinian prisoners in identical institutions. Recorded instances involve deadly force leading to mortality lacking following responsibility concerning participating officers.

Human rights organizations have extensively recorded systematic mistreatment methods and sexual violence incidents throughout imprisonment locations.
